Become a Member

Members enjoy special benefits that the Association provides to support Cantonese opera practitioners, such as an annual year-end lai see, discounted tickets to the annual gala dinner and a hospitalisation allowance (a one-off payment). To apply, please click “Join Us” below and submit the relevant information to the Association in person, by post or by email (enquiry@hkbarwo.com).

How to Join

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Has previously been paid to take part in performances by a professional Cantonese opera troupe
Proposed and seconded by members and endorsed by the signatures of the investigation group
To enable more Cantonese opera practitioners to join the Association family, the age requirement for membership has been relaxed and there is no age limit; however, those who join after the age of 55 will not be entitled to all member benefits

Complete and submit the application form

Approval by the Board of Directors

Pay the membership fee and collect the membership card
