Banhong Style (板腔體) has two major categories, “Bongzi” (梆子) and “Yeewong” (二黃), in this episode we would be talking about Bongzi Chungban (梆子中板). Bongzi Chungban could consists of seven or ten words per sentence, with a beat of one pan and one ding, can sing in both male and female voice, as well as in the Ba singing style. Styles of chungban include Chengsin, Fansin, Yifan, all could come in fast, medium or slow tempo.
