"You sing Bongzi (梆子) when you win, you sing Yiwong when you lose" .Being one of the two major systems of singing styles in Cantonese opera, "Yiwong" is featured by its relatively bleak and desolate melody. In this episode, we will introduce and demonstrate "Yiwong Laushuiban" (二黃流水板), commonly known as "Yilau". It can be divided into "Chengsin" (正線), "Fansin" (反線), and "Yifan" (乙反).
